Human resources are the most valuable asset for any company or organization. The success of a company actually depends on the performance of its employees and staff. Therefore, it is imperative for all employers to keep their employees motivated if they want their business to run successfully. Make it a point to verbally acknowledge all the outstanding works and values of your employees. This should be done publicly and is the simplest way to motivate your employees to give better output. You should take every opportunity to thank them for their outstanding service. You should also be specific and make a note of the achievements made by each and every employee of your organization regularly. A very good way would be to mention these achievements in the staff meetings that are held in the company. Verbally rewarding your employees is the best cost effective methods for motivating your employees.
Another way to motivate your employees is to reward them with a free off day periodically. This off day should be in addition to their regular leave, sick leave or personal days. A very effective way is to reward them for some intangible actions such as rewards for excellent attendance, positive interaction with customers or vendors.
Create a recreation center in your office and make it the stress free zone of your company. Outfit it with mini spa, relaxing music, candles, comfortable furniture and dim lighting. Allow your employees to spend some time in the stress free zone for relaxing and releasing their tension. Schedule to have a GP work on your employees, by giving them up a free general check up on a predetermined day, the payment of course has to be borne by your company. This will make them more energetic and zealous.
Be personal with your employees. Recognize their value and acknowledge them on their birthdays and other special days and organize some events which can also be attended by their family members.
It is a well known fact that every person requires a mental lift once in a while. You can use these tips to keep them motivated which in turn will increase your productivity and the overall morale of your employees also.
